Dr. Michael Brooks and his wife, Donna, have been serving Siluria Baptist Church since June 30, 2014. He earned the B.A. degree in religion and speech from Samford University, the M.A. in speech communication from Auburn University, and both the M.Div. and D.Min. degrees at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky

He's treasurer of the Republican Political Items Collectors and vice-president and newsletter editor of the Carter Political Items Collectors. Currently, he's serving on the board of the Alabama Citizens Action Program (ALCAP), an organization that deals with legislative and moral issues, and as chair of the Christian Life Commission of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. He is immediate past president of the Shelby County Baptist Association's pastors conference and moderator of the association.

The Brookses are parents to two children, Jami and John, and grandparents to three boys, all living in the Birmingham area.

Our pastor is excited about opportunities for ministry and growth at Siluria Baptist Church.
